Sanyo Xacti HD1: review

Russ Fischer has reviewed this camcorder from Sanyo, the Xacti HD1.

Sanyo's Xacti HD1 camcorder was designed to capture high-definition MPEG-4 video and 5.1-megapixel stills. It packs in a 10X optical zoom, image stabilization, and noise reduction—all in a lightweight package for less than $800. If the resulting video weren't laced with compression artifacts, we'd be head over heels.

Motorola Q

Boston Herald has reviewed this pda from Motorola, the Motorola Q.

Physically, the Q has a lot going for it. It’s thin and light enough to be only slightly uncomfortable carried in a shirt pocket, unlike the heavier Treo. At the same time, the Q is wider than a Treo (though not quite as wide as some BlackBerries), providing the space for a QWERTY keyboard with comfortably spaced keys.

Palm Treo 700p: review

James Turner has reviewed the Palm Treo 700p.

The 700p is nearly identical to the 700w, the only difference is a 320x320 screen instead of the 700w's 240x240 screen, and some minor differences in key labeling to accommodate the different OS requirements. It is also almost identical to the Treo 650, with a few major improvements. Chief among those is the upgrade of the 650's 0.3 MP camera to a 1.3 MP version (the same as the 700w's) -- which takes 1280x1024 resolution pictures -- and a bump from 32MB of memory to 128MB (again, matching the 700w.)
